Melbourne International Garden Show 2012

March of this year saw the 2012 Melbourne International Garden Show and my seventh year of coverage for Outdoor Design and Living magazine.

This year, as every year since 1995, Melbourne’s Carlton Gardens are transformed  as landscape designers and builders converge for a week, to transform the once peaceful gardens to a world class show that sees tens of thousands of admirers walk through the gate. The show opens on a Wednesday and closes on the Sunday afternoon. By the Tuesday or Wednesday it’s as if the show never happened and the gardens are peaceful once again.

A nice little update to this post for me, is that one of the images from my shoot at the  show, is the front cover shot for the latest Outdoor Design and Living magazine.

• Recently go back from Noosa in Queensland to photograph for my good friend and long term client Jamie Loft. Jamie, formally one half of the very successful Out From The Blue has now put his skills and talents to building his own pool and landscaping service 4Blue in Queensland. Using his amazing design skills he is able to offer his clients architecturally designed, state of the art, pools and landscapes to compliment any structure. Gone are the bad old days of a kidney shaped pool with pebble mix surrounds so prevalent in Queensland.
